i found this earlier today in pensacola beach, fl.
i was wondering if anyone knew what kind of shark it came from
i did some quick research, and to me, it looked most like a great white, but i wasn't positive.

That looks def. like a Great White's tooth. Maybe, MAYBE a Bull, but it doesn't have much of the "T" like shape. That site above even says this, "The most famous of all shark teeth, those from a large White Shark can command significant prices — a fact which renders this relatively uncommon species a target for trophy hunters."

Pretty cool!

You my sir have a Great White Shark tooth. If its in good shape(it looks like it is) get a necklaces made out of it and get it certified by a Marine Biologist (or a good dentist ) and make yourself some money.

The top part of the tooth is the root. It looks from the pic that you have that the tooth has been out for a while. My friend found one when we were free diving off of Santa Cruz California

Hmmmmmmmmmm. A White shark is also known as a Great White. Great Whites will go into cold water for food. Do a google search there is only one kind of White shark. Here is a good site http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/vertebr...oug/shark.html
