Hello... and will this work?

Hello everybody, new here on M3post.com. I've been a regular on e90post for the past 2+ yrs and I will be trading in my 335 for a e93 M3 if everything goes smoothly!

Got a rather specific question hope you guys can give me some pointers.

I am thinking of reusing the rims on my 335, BBS RS-GT 19x8 with 35mm offset all around; and slapping some 235/35/19 Dunlop Winter Sport 3D; to help with the stance, I'd put 15mm H&Rs on the rear and MAY put some 10mm on fronts.... essentially making the fronts 25mm and rears 20mm

Will this work?

Thanks in advance

If it fits your 335 perfectly chances are it'll fit the E93 M3 but not a good stance. I bought a set of BBS RE of an E46(Non-M) in 18s to run winters. They were 18x8 and 18x9 ..I ran 18mm front and 15mm rears and they still looked really bad..but the good thing was they fit and cleared the brakes. I'm pretty sure you won't have trouble clearing or fitting..just not looking great stance wise.

Can't you just slap on tires on the OEM and sell these? I went through about 3 sets of wheeels in one winter including OEM 18s before settling back for using my OEM 19s as winters.

By the way, I saw your car outside Lobster Trap tonight....friends were immensely pissed off at the fact that they took our reservation over the phone but never wrote it down..

Thanks for the insights....

Would 19s make a difference? My RS-GTs are 19x8 all around and I can throw some spacers to correct the offset, I guess I may have to just slap them on and see it for myself... I want to use the OEM Ms for summer 'cause they are brand spanking new and my BBS have seen better days, may even need a little touchup next year!

Yeah, I was at Lobster Trap last nite, booked early for 6pm and there was no lineup when I got there at 6pm, but as the evening progresses I could see a lot of people lining up and cranky, I probably bumped into you somepoint, I was asian with a mid-length cut single breasted coat in blueish green and with short hair, no glasses

No we didn't end up waiting..there was no way we would have ate until 10 if we had stayed.

I don't think your front is a problem..I think it's your rear that you might want to change. I'm not sure if the 235/35/19 rear is within the 3% limit...have you checked with any reputable vendors? Good luck with it!

I used tirerack's calculator and put the OEM specs vs my BBS+235/35/19 setup and the limit is ~0.85% so I guess I am alright....

What I am going to do is put the BBS on and see then decide if I should slap the WS 3Ds on or not, the BBS now has my 335's summers on.

Are you sure you used the OEM 265/35/19 rear sizing for calculations?? I quickly put it against that size on the tire1010 site and got 3.18% which is out of limit.

you are right, my front is going to be alright, but I need wider tires for the rear, I've used 255 on these 19x8 before so I guess I need that, the limit will then be 1.085% instead of over 3%
