Diagnosis: wide block of washed out pixels on CIC screen

Hi all, a few days ago I was struck by a momentary CIC red screen that afterwards went to black. After letting the car sit for a bit, things went back to normal. Shortly afterwards, I noticed a wide block of pixels that are slightly washed out on my idrive screen (pic attached). I'm using a Carsara box, and after noticing this I went ahead and checked all connections between the box, CIC, and screen with no improvement. Have any of you seen this before? I'm guessing it's an issue with the screen itself, but I wanted to get some opinions before i start replacing parts. No other issues with functionality, and the strip is consistent no matter which interface I'm in. Thanks!

Sudden vertical line like this is usually a screen cable connector problem (the ribbon cable that attaches the screen to the board).

Hmm. Thanks! I was out in the garage messing with the screen a little while ago and reset all the ribbon cables on the screen, but hadn't connected everything back up to test again. I'll see if that helped anything.

That didn't seem to do it. I suppose I could check the ribbons again, but they weren't tampered with before the issue started. Makes me lean further towards replacing the screen, either a pulled unit or just the lcd itself. Anything else I should check?

I'd check your connections again. Why did you have the screen out?

otherwise, I'd get a used one off of ebay, about 75$

Closing this one out. It was the LCD panel. I bought a new old stock unit and replaced just the screen, leaving the board, harness, etc. intact. All fixed. And now I don't have to deal with ugly scratched UV/anti-glare coating from a take-off part. Bonus.
