Little update on my carbon pieces:

They are done! I've attached a couple pics installed.

Super happy with the outcome. Of course they are not 100% perfect, a few small dust particles in the clear I wasn't able to wetsand out, but overall I think it's a 9/10 and since it's Diy I'll call it 11/10 haha. Enjoy. I also put together a little write up of my process in the interior section if you are curious.

Today's update is not so exciting, but actually got quite a bit done.

During winter storage I tackled a coolant leak (or so I thought). Turns out upon first start of the season, and coolant pouring out - I didn't. Took off the plenum again and then removed the waterpump housing to expose the damaged o rings I replaced. I wasn't careful when reassembling which caused it to tear. I replaced it again and very slowly and carefully assembled everything - this time with no leak! Then I decided to repair the damaged wire for the intake temperature sensor. I cut both and soldered and then used heat shrink for a flawless repair. Well that's one important thing off the list. Next up was the supercharger oil to be changed. The oil was darker than I had anticipated, so I decided to run a bottle of oil through it with the drain open to clean it out a lot more. Now that the oils changed, I removed my Gintani sport exhaust and replaced it with a dinan rear section. The sound is glorious! I will be getting some videos soon of the sound. I also decided to tackle wrapping the door jambs as they were black before. I'm really happy with the results and I think it looks way better! While I was wrapping the jambs I replaced both sills with brand new ones which also made a huge difference as far as refreshing the feel/look of the car. Finally I installed a new red "M" button in the steering wheel.

So recap of things done
-fixed coolant leak
-fixed damaged wire
-installed new (used) dinan rear section
-installed new red M button
-wrapped door jambs
-new door sills
-changed supercharger oil

Now that everything is buttoned up, the engine bay desperately needs a detail. That'll happen this week.

The pictures won't be in order for now because I'm uploading from mobile. Will fix later

I prefer the original frozen paint. Why supercharge one of the best naturally aspirated engines ever. All that carbon fiber will look dated shortly.

Because why not? Next owner can unwrap it and take off the charger if they want. By then I'll have a GT3 everyone has their own style buddy!

Carbon Fiber interior trims are dated already. But we still like them.

This is wild. Love your attention to detail and can't believe how your carbon work came out. I don't think I would ever be able to pull that off.

Sorry if this has already been discussed but what kind of power is this monster putting down? Blown and stroked this has to be one of the most powerful e9x out there, no?

What a douchebag comment.

Incredible car, love the attention to detail. Must be unreal to drive with a built motor and supercharger. Do you know what PSI it’s running?

How do you take apart the DCT shift knob? Mine has a scratch on the silver trim that I wanna repaint. Would you mind sharing the instructions? I was told to pry the plastic cover off, but not sure where to pry and etc.

It's making right around 700WHP right now on pump fuel! (94). It certainly could make more power, however 700 is plenty for me.

It truly is a ridiculous car, scares the sh!t out of me on a regular basis It's running 8.5 PSI at the moment.

I used a plastic pry tool at the top of the lever to remove the black plastic piece. Then there's a Torx under that you'll have to remove. The stock piece doesn't allow the chipset to go through the opening, so I used a dremel tool to widen the opening a little and it comes right off.

Thank you for posting your build with us, there will always be people who have negative comments in our forum; as for me. I want to enjoy my Tuned NA for a little longer before I go Supercharger. I plan to keep my M3 S65 forever and hopefully when I Hit 100k ( currently@ 80k miles) from driving NA; I can get Rod Bearings done and add a SC in a year Enjoy your M. Only You matter!!! To each our own life path and desires, but nothing wrong with sharing and trading knowledge.

Haven't posted in a while! Car is essentially exactly the same. Unfortunately didn't get much seat time this driving season putting on roughly 1500KM for the year. Have some fun plans for next season which I'll outline below. Also some pre-storage wash pictures.

-Pulling my WPC treated rod bearings, and replacing with VAC extra clearance calico coated. Should be interesting to see the condition of the WPC after roughly 15,000 KM.
-Recaro Pole Position seats wrapped in fox red leather. Oh, and most importantly drive it more!
