Spring, shock and swaybar question
Need some help here……
My E90 is currently on the stock chassi except for H&R lowering springs. The plan is to install Eibach B8’s with H&R swaybars. So my question to all the chassi gurus is basically if I run the combo of the shorter body length B8’s with H&R lowering spings and H&R swaybars, do I need adjustable swaybar links to compensate for the shorter body length of the B8’s? Appreciate any guidance! Thanks, J.

I would say no because I don't believe that the body of the B8 is shorter than stock. The shaft and internals are what is "shortened". More specifically, what would matter to you is the distance between the swaybar link tab (or "ear") on the shock body to the hub/clamp. I believe it's the same between stock and bilstein (b6 or b8).
I know for a fact this was true on E46 M3. I'll attach a pic of b8 damper next to factory strut, and you'll see they're the same dimension (except for the bottom portion that protrudes down, out the hub clamshell which is irrelevant).

Thanks guys for the valuable imput! Are the stock swaybar links strong enough to cope with the larger diameter H&R swaybars?

its going to depend on ride height, as well as the tab location on the struts. the oem swaybar is fine, but maybe have some adjustable links on hand to be prepared for the install.

So with the car lowered approx 1-1.25" from stock, should I be looking at longer or shorter adjustable links and what lengths should I be looking for?

its all going to depend on your ride height and where the mounting tab is on the shock body. i don't know what it would be for this particular setup. it is probably not an uncommon setup, so hopefully someone chimes in with better insight.
