hide the mufler...
http://www.worldcarfans.com/9080915....s-for-csl-look
the rest of the quit is not so great, but the slits on the rear are a great way to hide the muffler.....specially when coupled with these bad ass Hartge Carbon Fiber side mirrors: and i also love the Hartge discrete muffler hider: what do you guys think the Hartge or Vorsteiner diffuser? i love both, but i thing the Vor matches the Hartge CF mirrors. By the way, Hartge CF side mirrors cost a whopping $1500!!! |

They both look great. The stock muffler looks stupid with the quad tips. If the Vor diffuser is CF, forget it. The use of CF on small trim pieces is tacky. What's the point. You don't save weight over plastic, and the structural integrity of a diffuser, deck lip, or nose lip is a non issue. Using CF for the roof panel makes sense.

The diffusers (there are a few) have been around for a while. However, I've not seen the "Hartge discrete muffler hider." Can't tell how good it looks based on the pic.
What's the official name? Any product linkage?

I jut looked through the Hartge homepage, and did a few google searches. I saw nothing about a "Hartge discrete muffler hider". Sorry but if it does exist it isn't on the market yet. Isn't even rumored about anywhere other than this post.
Maybe give it a few weeks.

Yeah, I don't think that's the proper name.
I'd be interested in something like that in either matte black (to match the integrated diffuser) or body color. Would need to fit real well tho

so basically you prefer the Hartge muffler piece because the other one isn't worth the size for a CF part? |

As far as I can tell, that's because there isn't one. That picture is off of the gallery section on Hartge's website. It appears that the Hartge exhaust is just tucked into the void better than the stock exhaust.

1350 + S/H anywhere in the US. We have 1 spot left on the RACE system, in stock, just came in today. The sport is a 6 to 8 weeks pre-order period. None in stock.

The Vor diffuser is 1300 clams. A Remus muffler sytem is 1350. The Remus sounds great, looks great, and you have a clear view of the dif. Yes, I am a certified MOTO.
