BBS FI-R Fitment Help
Hey guys, just got 19” FI-Rs for the car and wanted to know what tire setup you guys would run not to rub.
I have lowering springs (factory suspension) and these offsets: F: 19x9.5 et22 R: 19x10.5 et35. Thanks |

The rear needs 10 or 12mm spacer
I was able to fit 275/35/19, 295/30/19 and 305/30/19. I am 10mm lower than ZCP. If you are lower, than the 275 (26.6 tall) would be too tall. The 305/30/19 is OEM size at 26.3 The 295/30/19 is shorter and your best bet. The front best fit would 255/35/19. You need to pay attention for the specific tire sizes. Some are larger than others. A 245/35/19 is safe, but narrow for 9.5” wheel. Avoid the temptation to fit 265/30/19. Too short of a side wall to be practicle. But, if this is for cars and cofffee then it will fit. The 275/30/19 works well and if I recall corectly does not rub. It was ok but not the best. The 265/35/19 works the best, but rubs terribly and will destroy the inner fender. It woud probably not fit a lowered car. I have the same wheels Hope this helps |

Hey thanks so much for the info; I am also lowered 10mm on HR SuperSports, and drivability is priority; I was on track today with the current 255/35/19 wheels and they leave a huge lip on the wheel and stretch around the rim (rubber bands) they suck lol
Dailying on the 255s suck too, wheels have a huge lip outside of the tire and look like rubber bands. Not practical Is the 275/30/19 a practical alternative? Car is a daily as well; daily-ing is #1 priority What would you recommend to be the best option? |

Yes, the 275/30/19 were good.
Not much selection. I did very good lap times on the RT660. it is still a short sidewall so with expensive wheels you have to be worrying about potholes on a daily driving and jumping curbs on the track. Also, make sure to not drop too much air pressure on track. And take your time coming up into pressure. Main issue with the 275/30/19 is selection and availability. You may want to buy 4 and have two on hand to avoid delays. |

For refrence 245/35/19 and 285/30/19 have the same sidewall.
I also tried 285/30/19 and it fits like the 265/35/19, meaning it rubs the inner fender about the same. The 265/35/19 has more slection and was faster. so I settled on that size. I don’t recommand it if you want to keep your car “nicely looking” but it is the best choice up front for 19” |

Anyways, here's my E90 on BBS FI-Rs with the same specs...I'm running 265/35 up front and 295/30 in the rear Michelin PS4S. Camber is -2.7 up front and -2.0 in the rear (no ill effects to tire wear with these specs), 3mm spacers up front, 10mm in the rear. No rubbing in the rear but rubs a bit up front when turning at close to full lock. As you can see, my car is pretty low on coilovers though...if my car wasn't this low; I wouldn't rub. I don't drive this car everyday so it's a non-issue for me. IMG_1718-1 by dj_dub, on Flickr

I have 9,5 and 10,5”
With 255/35-19” and 285/30-19 PS-4S This is the OEM GTS tire setup (GTS have 9” and 10” wheels though) Love the look and handling with these. Don’t think the rubber lip on the out side is to much. Looks perfect to me 🤩 Need new tires soon, and will go for the same tire size next time. |

Top wheel is the Regular FI-R, the middle is mine, and the bottom is what seem to be yours. As for tire size, I'm not as low as you nor do I care about fitment as much as I do drivability; I'll try for the 265/35 F - 295/30 R option and remove my front spacer. Thanks! |

BBS never made 2 versions of the FI-R...in 19" 5x120 they came in 2 faces only: models FIR 137 and FIR 138. Which look exactly like mine. There's a new style FI-R out called the FI-R Evo, but neither of us have that. Also BMW center caps won't fit non-BMW factory BBS wheels without modification or adapters. I would contact the person you bought those from because they sold you something not authentic and hopefully you didn't pay authentic pricing. If you need anymore information, feel free to PM me.

If you fit 265/35/19, my condolences to your inner fender.

On my FI-Rs I ran a 265/35/19 and 285/35/19 at first and it rubbed my front rearward liner like crazy so I switched to 265/30/19 and 285/30/19 and solved it totally
