Dirty Mother Volker

Got more work to do but the Volk G2s went on today. Thanks to Jason and Gary @ Renn Spec for the great service.

The wheels feel 10 times lighter than the stock 18s, I could immediately tell the difference on the road. Even with 200lbs of dead weight in the back seat and trunk (stock rims and tires) the car still felt more nimble.

The AD08 tires have insane grip and they are better in the wet than PS2s.

I think the rear could stand a spacer. Maybe 10mm?

The setup is: Volk TE37 G2 19x9.5 +22 front, 19x10.5 +25 rear. Tires are Yokohama Neova AD08 245/35 front 275/30 rear

Looks good. I can't wait to get the AD08's (295/30 is backordered). I wouldn't bother with spacers as your offsets are pretty much spot on but because your rear tires are a bit stretched it makes it look a little thin. If you plan to stay 275's on a 10.5" rim then I would add a 5mm spacer.

Wow that some lippage. Nice.
it looks like you still have room for another 5-10mm
Thats if you want to push the limits and make it flush as possible.

Awesome rims!

The VOLK TE37 G2's look great on AW.

I'm curious about your tire/wheel setup...

Why did you select such wide rims...and then mate them to such narrow tires?

I know the AD08's run larger than the size would suggest, but those front and rear sizes are kind of small. (especially the rear 275's)

If you wanted a more aggressive stance, I would have suggested these tire sizes:

front 9.5" +22 offset, 265/30/19

rear 10.5" +25 offset, 295/30/19

With those tire sizes, you would have a very flush look...without any rubbing issues. (and no spacers would have been necessary)

Since you are probably not going to do this, I would only suggest 10mm rear spacers if you don't have plans to lower the car on coilovers.

I really wanted to try the 245 width AD08 in front for a few reasons: It came highly recommended from some folks who are racing on them. Plus I wanted a slightly taller tire in front vs. the rear in order to counter the rake that the H&R springs introduce. I like how my H&Rs feel but I don't care for that rake at all, I think it screws with weight transfer. So by going with 245 in front, my only option for the rear tire is 275. If I don't like this setup I'll consider the 265/295 setup next time.
