Stop me when I hit something that's not boring AF.

EVs in their primary current form are made for folks like my wife and my mom, not for motoring IC enthusiasts like you and me.
The only way to spice up anything on this list would be to set it on fire at random points while driving it. Literally as boring as watching paint dry.

Unreal.

Electric cars are all hype hype hype.
Not to mention the numerous lawsuits from pedestrians tripping over extension leads draped across the pavements from rows of terraced houses

Once the price comes down, Id buy an EV for the commute. Work pays for charging, no gas stations..

The only cars that might have any saving grace on that list is perhaps the Civic family, the Civic Sport with MT, Civic Si, or Civic Type R.

But damn all the others (incl. Civic with CVT) are the epitome of motoring sadness.

My next vehicle purchase will be an EV for commuting:

https://www.altamotors.co/

120 lbft torque at stall and 250 pound curb weight. Wheelies on demand at any speed. Far from boring!

Yabut they'll be trendy and have all of the dashboard/entertainment/phone integration gadgetry. Those are what really sells cars these days. (Makes me sad.)

Not really any electronic stuff in an EV can obviously be installed in any car. It's all hype that EVs are more technically advanced. Gas cars generate the same electricity once they are on.

Tesla was smart and was first to install a big ass tablet screen and hyped their autopilot as if it's so much better then anyone else's system. It's not any better, just the big manufacturers are too scared to unleash a similar system to the general public because of all the lawsuits that would come from accidents. They are just going to wait to let other people beta test it then release their versions.

Oil will be #1 for a long time, after that natural gas then hydrogen. Not only are those 3 more efficient then electric they are combustion so they are more fun for us... win win.

Don't believe the electric hype. Everyone and I mean everyone who buys an EV right now does it because it's trendy. No one bought an EV because it's cheaper or more economical or more fun or more practical. Anyone who says that really drank the cool aid. It's ok to buy trendy stuff, but atleast you gotta know you are buying the hype.
