Why am I searching dyno base? You did the research, why not post it for your brothers and sisters to see.

Nope, not a burble...I've got to wait until I dyno the stage 2 file that we all get first anyway then I'll upload the new new

that was my situation for stage 1 and I removed the rev limiter prior to letting Alex know that I didn't do RB yet but Alex advised on stage 2 to keep me to keep the stock rev limiter for now at all stages until you do rod bearing service but I did run 8600 rev limiter on stage 1 for about 5k miles, no issues

For MSY, I run the Alpine tune because it works for my price point, I enjoy the modifications I paid for...if 23 HP is what I got from my one dyno pull at the shop...cool not my fault it's 23..if I had gotten 10 HP...cool something to work on...do I feel the 23 HP on my daily drives no but I enjoy the improved low end torque on my daily drives which is why I got the tune as well, some of us are just here to enjoy our cars..I think real arguments should be reserved for cars that are supercharged/turbo since it's easier to make power

At the time of the stage 1 dyno pull, I had approx. 43k miles, original spark plugs, original o2 sensors
When I will dyno stage 2, it will be new spark plugs, original o2 sensors

That explains it. Your original plugs are not allowing you to hot timing targets. You load a tune and first little while the car will hit timing before it quickly realized it's not safe to go so and will cut power via lower timing and richer mix possibly.

I just think tuners should better educate about importance of at minimum new poigs before tuning and pushing the engine even harder.

LOLZ. Seriously, this bro trying to use too much logikz.

Ain't nobody got time for that nonsense.

We pay for tune, we upload tune, we press gas pedal, car goes fast. Easy.

Got this tune about a month ago, along with the DCT GTS tune and coding. Car feels more responsive down low, and pulls harder than before. I couldn't say whether it was 10 or 30hp, but definitely an improvement.

The cold-start delete and getting rid of test-pipe CELs alone make the tune worth it.

For stage 2 people, curious where does your idle sit at when you cruise around 70 mph at 7th gear
I’m at about 2700-2800
I feel like the car just wants to go higher and rip!

If you're idling, the wheel speed doesn't matter. If you're holding at 70mph, then you aren't idling, and your RPM should not change from a tune - that's gears/tire dependent only.

Sounds pretty accurate. I drive most of the time NOT in M mode and everything set to weak/soft/comfort. With M mode...if feels like it wants to jump out of it's skin!

Nice, sounds good...it's only been about 300 miles driving on stage 2 and I had to take it easy since the oil level said I MAXED and drained some today. Now I should be good and have some good WOT runs then dyno next week.

Contemplating going with the eco/dct however, does the ecu change make any difference below 3k where these cars are weak? For everyday driving it sounds like it doesn't do much and only once you get over 5k or so?

Thanks

I think it makes a difference at low RPMs.

I don't think I've been able to push above 5k RPMs once since I moved to the traffic of the East Coast a month ago.

I prolly won't get to enjoy that anymore but I have no intentions of removing the 93 octane tune.

Don't expect a huge bump, but I think the ecu tune gives a little extra torque below 3k. A big benefit to me is the more manageable in traffic Power button setting. I used to only turn Power on when traffic opened up. With the tune I leave it on and find it easy to modulate in stop and go but ready to deliver when the road clears a little or I need to change lanes. The Servotronic adjustment when not in M mode is also a plus. It's just enough resistance to feel more stable at city speeds and then switch to M for even stiffer. The DCT tune is one I was skeptical with at first but super happy I did it. Shifts are greatly improved. And don't forget Euro MDM (big fun without too much danger). Overall, these are lots of small changes that in my opinion make a big difference as a package. At the price and support Alex provides it's kind of a bargain. I could never go back to stock.
