Custom order..Delivery Time???

Hi everyone. I have a quick question regarding delivery time for a new e90 M3. I'm basically ordering a stripped model, so I know I'll have to order it.

Now that production has ramped up, what is the typical wait time?? When I ordered my e90 335, it took roughly 8 weeks from the day I placed my order until the day I actually picked the car up.

The reason I'm asking is because of the fact I'm trying to take delivery within 2 weeks of the end of my current lease, which I would like to keep for the full term. My current lease ends at the end of March 2009.

Do M3's take longer for delivery (assuming normal production rates) than a standard 3 series??? I'd really appreciate any advice, as I'm not sure if I should order the car in December, January, or February, to coincide with a March delivery. Thanks everyone!

I ordered mine on Sept 9. Should take deliver the last week of Octobor. I'll let you do the math. East coast delivery is a about a week less than West coast delivery. I think mine was probably a best case scenario as my dealer already had an allocation in the pipeline that was within a few days of entering production when I ordered. It would be hard to make a definitive statement as it's going to vary depending on each dealers situation regarding their allocations. Best thing to do is talk to your dealer.

My SA told me that it was about 6-9 week process too. But that is coming to L.A. and you're in MI so it would probably be quicker.

Gracias. Assuming production is rolling and a model isn't backordered, it appears 6-9 weeks is the norm for a BMW manufactured in Germany. I guess the key is securing an allocation. Thanks!
