Too bad I don't have a suspension I can tune, but for you guys maybe worth it.

I'll eventually get around to replacing the suspension. :/
There go all my secrets. I may as well just book a room at an old folks home as you guys won't need advice anymore once you have this book.

Did you have them heat cycled where you purchased them? If you did, they should be good to go, I'm guessing.

their ordering is pretty prehistoric.. so there was no way to talk to anyone to get them heat cycled.

Well look up how to do it. Not nearly as easily done on the car. Went to track for 1 session then went home.

I had the same issue when I bought a new pair of NT01s from Discount Tire's eBay store.

They say the proper way to do it is get the tires up to temperature and take them off of the car to cure for 24-48 hours.

I have a friend who ran re71rs and NT01s on back to back sessions on the same day. He was consistently faster with the re71rs. It may be that the re71rs are just more suitable to his car (e46) or his driving style. Or it may be that the re71rs are just a faster tire. He's going to give the nt01s another shot to try to be sure what works better for him.

I love the nt01s and don't really want to switch, but I'm definitely considering it. If the re71rs are faster, have better treadwear ratings, and can be used on the street and in the rain, why bother with nt01?

I'd like to try the RE71Rs eventually. They're right around the NT01 price point too.

I found R888's to be fantastic in flash thunderstorm / flooded conditions. They channel water very well. They are used a lot as a wet weather track tire but they are also great on a dry track on both hot and cold conditions. Also work fine on the street. Basically fantastic in all conditions.

According to predictions, there will be no rain both Friday and Saturday, but it will rain (thunderstorm) Sunday. So I'm screwed. Since weather is unpredictable, I will decide whether or not to cancel tomorrow.
