spray paint to refinish hyper silver zcp wheels?

Hi, I recently found a zcp wheels set close by and I scooped it up. The only downside is that it's the black colour and is a little curbed. I plan to refinish them but I'm looking for a paint that matches as close to the oem as possible. Any suggestions? thanks!

I agree powder coating them is your best bet. It won't have the same depth as the OEM silver finish, but it will be close and durable as well. Good luck.

Son Tran in Garden Grove is probably the only guy that can get it very close to hypersilver.

Many others have tried and haven't come close.

I second the above post. Son Tran fixed my hyper silver Zcp from a huge curb rash. I couldn’t even tell where it was fixed even when he pointed it out to me. He’s a wizard.

Thirded...he's done a great job for me as well, but the OP is in Canada, so impossible practically speaking.

Can you post his business address, or pm it to me? Thanks!

Yes you’re correct I’m in Canada. California is not out of the question but it would be pretty impractical. I’ve done the road trip before and straight driving it’s like 22 hrs lol.
I am open to powder coating but I thought painting would be much easier. At least from a diy perspective.
If I was to do the powder coating suggestion, which color would you guys suggest?
I spoke to a local powder coating company and they suggested prismatic powders roughly 4-5 lbs.

Just get a set of new ones. And sell your old ones.

winds up being quite expensive:
36112284055 x2: $658USD ea
36112284060 x2 : $730USD ea
roughly $2800 USD for just wheels no tires.

I got my set for $1100USD with tires and also I wanted a project mainly to learn how to do it and improve my skills. I'm not looking for 100% match but I'm looking for best options in terms of paint/finish to go for.

Time vs. money.

If you have the time and skills to refinish them yourself, go for it. 👍

Anything less than a proper powder coat with fall off over time. Unless you plan on refinishing/repainting them every 6 months let a powder coated do this. If they can't find a match leave for the next shop.
