I am considering driving up to Steve Thomas or trying John Thatcher at Crevier.

Travis. Great guy! Service took about 2 hours but I got there at 630am so I was the first car to get worked on.

Just to update this thread... I went to Irvine BMW today to have them look at some issues another dealer made excuses to cover.

I delt with Jose F in service. We walked my car and I pointed out my issues and he immediately told me no problem. All of it would be covered and that everything I pointed out was clearly defective items. They gave me my pick of a loaner (opted for a mini S, never drove one) and sent me on my happy way.

5hrs hours later my car is done! They replaced all my shadow line trim and start button. My seat creak was also repaired and they fixed the B pillar creaking too. They also did a much better job washing my car than my old dealer did. No swirls!!!

They didnt say a word about my wheel spacers, exhaust, sub and amp, or anything either.

If you need a solid no BS guy at Irvine, Jose F is your man! I will get his last name soon.

Who was the first dealer you went to? And, no swirls...hmmm...not saying you are lying, but that is pretty unbelievable from a dealer. Especially Irvine BMW. They put a gnarly swirl mark on my hood with a buffer before I even took delivery. Glad to hear you had a good experience though.

Crevier was the first. I had a horrid experience there 3 times in a row. Im done with them.

I dont think Irvine waxed my car. They just washed it because of they put a ton of finger prints all over it doing the shadowline trim. Its not the best wash. But for a dealer wash, Im more than happy.

Irvine has been good to me. They replaced my shadowline trim out of warranty.

Update to Irvine. I went there today for an oil change. I had twenty bucks in my ashtray that I purposely put there for my SA. When I got my car back and my SA walked me to my car, I went to give him the 20 and it was gone! MF'er!

My SA immediately checked what porter pulled my car into the back (he was already gone for the day) then got the SA manager and the SA manager went somewhere and came back and handed me 50 bucks! He looked real embarrassed and was very apologetic to me. He said they would handle it and as unfortunate as it is, it meant a lot to me that they compensated me like that. I gave the 50 to my SA and told him to split it with the mechanic. = )

That kind of service goes a long way in my book. I just thought I would share that with you guys.

PS: my rep is Jose Fernandez. He's a good guy. You can trust him.

I think they must be trying to change. I've told them multiple times that they have a bad rep with the M3 guys. Hopefully they took it to heart.

They've been VERY good to me even though I'm not even remotely a high end customer.

i took my M 4-5 times and so far I'm happy with it.

I work nearby so always I do same day service. Drop my M, take their shuttle and shuttle pick up again.

They're pretty good with same day service (compare to BMW Encinitas) and their warranty work was pretty good as well. I complained about peeling airbag emblem and steering wheel trim then they replaced with brand new airbag and trim without any questions.

I have a modified car (see my sig) and never gave me hard time for anything either.
So if it's same day, routine work (nothing super complicated), I have no problem taking it again.

Didn't replace my oil cap properly and of course oil all over my engine bay and right front wheel. They did clean it but not to my standards.

Irvine BMW has drastically improved over the last couple of years. They used to be pretty unfriendly and unwilling, but they are beginning to come around.

John Thatcher of Crevier BMW is a great guy as well.

Interesting. I wrote them a SCATHING e-mail regarding their service after I attempted to schedule my first oil change with them. Included everyone there including the GM and all the department heads.

I go to Crevier now since I got the M from them. No complains either

Also, I have heard bad things about just about every dealer's service department, including Steve Thomas (not saying they are bad, because I do not think they are, but others have said so).
What about Shelly BMW?

I would LOVE to know everyone's thoughts & opinions on Shelly.

Their recent "negligent" by their service advisor Kayla, on my 2012 650 is beyond disbelief; that's politely put it.

That bad huh... Well I work next door at House of Imports as a service advisor as well, hahaha but was thinking about taking it to them for a four wheel alignment. Good thing is I know one of the techs and I'm real close to one of the SM's there as well.
