This is a huge area of needed improvement for me...but drifting corners in 2nd gear is addicting.

Then most of my worst driving is after eating greasy track food on a hot day.

Eat a salad. Just hide when you do it...people will make fun of you.
100% agree on 2nd gear drifts. 100% agree on driving shitty after shitty food. I skip it altogether and just go with water, gatorage, and redbulls

Yes and no (IMO), though I hear this a lot. I find rain learning helpful, though not necessarily the best learning for a few reasons.
a) Can't really learn the line (typically), because you need to run the rain line
b) Have to be much more careful blending inputs because grip is so much lower (i.e. can't practice much trail braking)
c) I see majority of offs (or much higher frequency of offs) in rain because people found the limits and breached them.

Not when hungover?

I agree if you are someone who doesn't know how to find the dry line on a given track within a handful of laps, you aren't going to learn much from wet driving either

I think the "dry line" is over rated. IMO, what many fail to learn until it is too late is how to drive off line. Sometimes you discover something new and awesome.

I've made significant progress in every area of my driving by driving in the wet. I remember going out in 40 degree rain on some Hankook RS3s and turn DSC off. That was the last day I drove with traction control on.

It takes commitment and my 330's leather interior took a pounding from the rain...well worth it!
