I have a question to those who have used red Leather. Is there a chance of us getting bored of it in the future?

Quick question to all of those who have seen fox red in person. Could you please point a picture out to us which is the closest to the actual hue to the color?

Here are 3 pics that have been posted with 3 different hues:

Currently I'm assuming it's closest to picture 1. Please correct me if I am wrong

I had imola red and black leather in my M roadster and loved it. The car was also Imola red, so the red/black leather combo matched. At first, I thought it was going to be too much red, then I saw it and never regretted it. Granted, Imola red seems to be a darker shade than Fox red... and the M roadster is a convertable...

[edit: referring to Picture 2->] wow... that's really...really... bright.

It reminds me of Reno.... don't ask me why!

I think they should have stuck with the Imola red from the E46, but I still like it. Very sporty.

The first (and hopefully true) representation of the color is absolutely stunning.

I have Imola Red leather in my e46 M3 and I love it today the same amount that I did 3 years ago. I happen to like the reaction and looks you get when you get out of the car with tinted windows and people can actually see how vibrant it is on the door panels and seats. It really sets it off.

From all of these different posts and pics on FR, the only certainty is uncertainty. I really, truly want to believe that FR is closer to a brick red color (as previously posted) than the cheesy orange I've seen in others, but the bottom line is that I can't pull the trigger and potentially live with a $60-65k mistake. I'm hoping (but doubtful) that a demo might arrive with FR interior in the very near future, but unless I can see it in person I'm going Space Gray w/black interior. Plus, I like the aluminum trim but don't think it goes well with the FR interior (CF is better)

That's a wise decision. Until you've seen it in person, there really is no way to know... this color seems to go back and forth from very nice to street-walker red in a heartbeat... best be safe/sure and see it in person before ordering....

with that being said, it makes me think back to last year sometime when I was searching for pics of Interlagos Blue w/ a red interior, I know it exists but never found any pics....I did find pics of Interlagos w/ Cinnamon Brown interior, which I think looked great... EDIT: here is my thread from last year http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54901 trying it figure out if this combo works

So being the fact that Interlagos Blue is my favorite exterior color and I have been dying for a red (ish) interior, I can't pass up the thought of maybe IB/FR color combo looking better then many may think...and yes yes I know Superman combo blah blah....and yes its two bright colors so it may be too flashy, but like someone else mentioned with tinted window (which I plan on doing) you get a different feel/view of the interior since its not so visible from the outside......

I'm going to call my CA and see if he can put it into the system and if it goes through it means BMW thinks it won't look bad...

edit: here is the pic of IB/Cinnamon....looks good IMHO....so my next question is Does FR look similar to these pics w/ a more redish hue to it?

I think the IB/FR combo would look good. I cant think of an M3 colour bar the reds that wont suit FR.

btw I friend of mine has E46 M3 with steel gray and Cinnamon and it looks awesome.

I tried to take a photo with my phone today of a Fox red interior and I shall not be posting the photos, the pictures turn out red which it most definitely isn't, Fox red is closer to Brown than red in colour.

I think it's one of those colour you just have to see in person to understand what it's like.

Here is the only photo that looks remotely close to Fox Red. Ignore the headrest and look more at the rear seat.

Sorry for my poor camera skills.

Thank you for the photo... Seems that it's definitely a brick red, which is fine with me.
