Jack's Build thread

Never planned to make one of these however, slowly but surely the mods have added up and I think its time. So lets back track a little. Bought the car in April of 2015 in Omaha Nebraska with 50k miles IMG_2412 IMG_2405 I drove it home and immediately made a few aesthetic changes. I added carbon splitters and wrapped the hood vents and side markers black. IMG_2466 Than it was time for wheels. Avant Garde M359s with MPSS IMG_2526 Added a lip spoiler and LCI tails IMG_2938 I decided that the AA exhaust note was too muffled and went with an ACM exhaust mod. Saved a few bucks but yes its a bit heavier. Worth it IMO. I also added test pipes and got an ESS tune. IMG_2944 I decided to paint it black and then put on some EAS tips (not pictured). Looks a lot darker in person and is essentially invisible when on the car which is what i like. IMG_2946 I then got bored of the M359s and bought ARC8s and wrapped them in an RE11. I think this is one of the best pictures of my car. Something about the angle idk haha. IMG_2923 Eventually winter rolled through and i bought some F14s from a buddy and wrapped them in blizzaks. It became a drift car for a few months IMG_3911 IMG_3998 Come Spring time i bought some Ohlins R&T and got some summer wheels. Some may dislike the OEM look but i dig the ZCPs, real ones, the Avant Gardes don't look right and the paint peels haha. Since the car sees the track a few times a season i bought 4 rears to make a square set and wrapped those in 265 35 Sport Cup 2s. What a tire. IMG_4155 IMG_4286 After a day at NCM motorsports park i found out that 90mph on curbing will make the fronts rub. Like really rub. Like crack both fenders rub. IMG_4324 So now its repair time. I have two new fenders awaiting paint and some new carbon splitters. The old ones are a bit chewed up. I have big plans for the car this summer. APR splitter, type 2 diffuser, Alcon brakes, and possibly new seats are all to come. Last edited by Jack14; 08-11-2020 at 04:33 PM.. |

Any more photos from the rear angles? The painted lip spoiler + diffuser combo work great!

How was the handling of the arc-8s? I have been thinking of doing that exact setup but with some PSS 275/30s lowered on my KW-V3s.

Tire is going to affect the handling but as far as the wheel goes its relatively light weight for a 19inch wheel and i had mine in square set up, which with a good alignment will get the back end loose pretty nicely. Definitely more prone to oversteer.
