Just installed my kit. LOOKS GREAT! the kit was easy to install as the diy suggests but it is NOT a 15-20min install. It took me a bit over an hour to get it working. The biggest issues were... the bulbs getting them in and out, WHAT A PAIN (not this kits fault... the headlight inside work area is tight)... and the wires coming in and out of restistor box thingie that plugs into the factory light harness and to the relay fell out because the terminal that screws down to hold them was never tightened down. It was a simple fix to tighten them back in with a screwdriver but I think this is something that should be checked before shipping. Dont get me wrong, I am not knocking the kit, IT IS AMAZING! I love it and outside of the resistor wires being loose and falling out the build quality is top notch! Anyone who is thinking of buying an upgrade for the angel eyes should buy these!

Just wondering is there a lifetime warranty on this stuff?

Just installed my kit...at first I was frustrated by all of the wiring and wondering how and where to route it to make it look 'clean'...took about 2 hours but now that I've done it once, it seems very easy and straight forward...I could probably do another install in about 30 minutes...only part that I'm struggling with is where to attach the relay, for now i just zipped tied it underneath the bracket near the headlight...

as far as the look of the new brightness...very happy!

HID angel eyes warranty

Lifetime warranty? Not even major manufacturers offer that. I'd say a year minimum should be expected, though I never asked when I got my kit 11 months ago. Camaro knows he needs to provide reasonable support or word-of-mouth could do him in. So far, my kit (after initial beta issues) has been reliable.

Thanks for the clarification. I think that is very generous, since one-year is the defacto standard for most aftermarket stuff, and you're relying on people to install it correctly.

I do know of several HID resellers that offer lifetime warranties therpmstore is one of them. when I owned my mazdaspeed6 the vendors on the mazda 6 forum made it priority to have lifetime warranties on HID kits.

its great to have a 2 year warranty and great support. thanks again, loving my hid angeleyes!

I PM'd him this morning, the first address game me an error. There was a camaross305part2 user name so I sent it to that. My kit just stopped working all of a sudden. No angel eyes - guess I will be pulling them out.

Edit - it looks like he was banned

if you want a similar function you can use this
just hook this up to an HID kit using relays
so you still get the HID to go on and off the same as the OEM angel eyes
but make sure you get power from the battery post in the engine compartment
not using the OEM wires for angel eye

thx for the info. Just out of curiosity, any HID kits you'd recommend? Have you run the setup yourself with no errors?

i've used this one in my car
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3000-...item45effebcdb
its the slim kit by autohidguy
and i managed to fit the entire HID kit inside the headlight
both the ballast and ignitor fit inside the headlight, damn tight, but it fits
so nothing is visible from the outside. As i had previously modified my factory wiring to give the angel eyes the full 14v input. with the stock system they never get the full 14v, they get 10.75 or 3.3v
in your case you would just need to have power and ground

Does anyone know what kind of resistor Camros used? I've been trying to get a new resistor for a while now and have still not recieved it. If someone knows could they let me know where to get one, I'm tired of running with one angel eye.

Thanks

Thomas

m3manila did you hook up everything correctly? Do you have any picture of your setup, the one with the little circuit and the resistor on the passenger side you may have to switch it around.

try to disconnect and reconnect the battery. That's how I got the stock AEs back on when Camaross' kit failed due to bad resistors.

Anyone know where I could get some new resistor that would work with Camaross HID Kit? I've been waiting for mines, and it still has not shown up yet.
