Rubber spring spacers - query
I just installed H&R sport springs on my e93. I really love the new look and they ride very well. My issue is that my driveway has a small dip before entering the garage to channel water away from the house. My front bumper and part of the tray rub when I pull in. My options are:
1 - live with it; 2 - go back to stock springs; 3 - install a spring on the front with less drop (Eibach I believe will achieve this); 4 - install a shim or spacer at the top or bottom of the spring. I planning to buy a sheet of 1/4" or 3/8" SBR rubber and fabricate my own spring spacer to raise the front by 6-9mm. Has anyone run into this issue and done their own mod to adjust their ride height? Any thoughts on the approach? Drawbacks to using a hard rubber? |

Why not just fabricate something to put in or over the dip? If it's sold and looks nice you could just leave it there and not have to modify your car.

Why not buy a driveway ramp that goes over the dip?
