A friend of mine painted with plastidip his 335i exhaust tips 3 months ago and they still look ok, no peeling issues

Great! I am planing to paint my ZCP wheels. Do you think it can hold up the heat from track events?

OP: Is it me or does the your wheel finish appear to have a textured finish? Is this normal? Is it possible to have a smooth finish? I checked out the videos at dipyourcar.com and this textured finish appears even after the glossifier is added. I was thinking about vinyl wrapping my car roof in gloss black but this might do the trick if the finish can be smooth not textured.

I had initially done just plasti dip a few months back and not too long ago my friend informed me that they came out with a new line of enhancements. I went ahead and ordered the glossifier and it came out great. I wanted gloss from the start but settled for the matte finish as it saved me hundreds of dollars. Now I'm more than happy with the glossiness!

I believe it will always have a texture that sort of resembles carbon. If you're looking for perfectly smooth then vinyl wrap is probably the direction you should go for your roof.

I think the finish can be done smoother with the use of a Wagner power sprayer but it probably won't be perfectly smooth still.

looks good. never heard of this stuff. interested to see how durable it actually is? it seems like it would get chips just like if you paint the wheels over time but maybe a small reapplication would cure that?

Nice. Do you have any pics? I'm interested to see how this gloss stuff looks. Seen it in a video and it seemed good.

That actually looks pretty good, especially on the AW E92 -- might do it myself.
