FS: BMW Performance Exhaust *needs wielding*
Selling BPE for E90 as is (shown in pictures below) it has stress fractures which can be repaired. As is asking $1500 obo or repaired 2200 obo *update* I have gotten a lot of questions about how it is getting repaired. Mig weld, holes drilled at where the crack points are and welded close so the crack does not spread. If there are any other questions please let me know.

What caused the damage? Was the car involved in an accident that damaged the muffler? Are any other parts of the exhaust damaged?

Yeah, so did I... But you'll never know unless you ask.

I guess BMW doesn't warrant these things? If it wasn't caused by an accident or some sort of trauma you would think they would cover it.
Either way, well priced for someone who is handy with a welder. GLWS.

Isn't the BMW Performance exhaust made of inconel? You wouldn't want to MIG inconel (it's not cost effective). It would take an expert TIG welder to repair this.

I'm on my third M Performance Exhaust because of this cracking issue. I am going to go and get mine TIG welded because I absolutely love the exhaust and am sick and tired of swapping it out over and over again. It's my opinion that heat and vibration causes this to happen.

Do a search on here, there are several posts/threads about this issue and warranty coverage. If it does get covered, make sure they give you the updated version which apparently addresses this issue. |

At what mileage have they cracked? Mine are port installed and covered until 12/10/16 or 50K miles...I only have 6900 miles now and afraid the issue will arise just after the warranty expires.

I///MBack had 36k on his exhaust before it cracked. I know this because he is a friend of mine.
