New one is round without the dimples for grip and has a bar going across to turn instead.

Scored the original OEM floor mats. These will fill in for the OEM all weathers that are currently in there now.

Oh yeah I see the pic now, but that's the same style as the old one with the ///M. They changed the design on the new one and also seems they did something to stop the leaks. If your new one starts leaking then you know what to do lol

This is the prescription for gloss. A single step procedure using a Maxshine 18mm DA Polisher, Meguires MF cutting pads and Sonax Perfect Finish.

Damn, BMW paint is hard! Taking time but it's surely correcting out nicely.

More to come...

Factory fresh. One thing that was missing from the trunk. I thought I remember these being Velcro?

^ Check the expiration/condition of some of the contents if it's actually an original from the E9x days. It's also pretty weak as far as first aid is concerned. I refreshed and supplemented mine when I took possession of the car.

Thanks for the tip. This is a BNIB part from FCP Euro though.

It sure if where you love there is a feynlab authorized trained ceramic coat detailer but I have JB and I have the self healing ceramic coating... game changer. No more swirls and no more worrying about swirls for 5 to 10 years. It’s a must for any black car I think. Sun and warm water make light love marks disappear.

My LSP will be GTechniq CSL and Exo V4. Hoping to keep the JB nice for the years to come.

Had a few moments so I took my son into the M and warmed her up, let the heated seats warm our coolies and we went to town.

This is my kinda build, love the attention to detail.

I am wondering how people are able to scratch up shit in such weird places like those cupholders.

Had an E91 for 8 years, and it is a well-made cabin apart from peeling trim on the steering wheel and door handles.

Sometimes I think the same thing to myself, especially in a car of this caliber.

Speaking of which, after we're done with the paint correction phase I'll be tackling the interior fully. I'm looking to either recondition my current steering wheel as it isn't bad at all but thought about new OEM if the price was right (without the airbag or course) but not sure if it's NLA from BMW.

Taking the OG approach to detailing I see. Love the PL + 845 combo but I too want to venture down the longer lasting CSL + EXO V4 route this spring.

Seats look impeccable as well. Get some Swissvax treatment on there and they'll matte right up (even more so)!

Look forward to the Perfect Finish results. Sub'd!

Love FCP Euro. Seems like you got some hardware cleaning to do on the strutbars/shock mounts. Only pointing it out to be a dick and fuel your OCD. LOL

In for more detailing pics. That Jereze paint will clean up so nicely and make sure to get some before/afters of the seats. A good cleaning will really changing them.
