Throttle Body Actuators help

Hi All,

This morning I noticed that when was down shifting from 3rd to 2nd, instead of the nice short crisp throttle blip, it was a longer dragged out blip. I then gave the car a bit (maybe 7000 rpm) and it went into limp mode. Turned the car off and back on and limp mode disappeared, but the down shifts still resulted in the longer drawn out throttle blip.

The car is a 2010 DCT with 130,000 kms. The original owner believes he never changed the TBA.

My question is to the guys that have changed their TBA, did you experience a longer sounding throttle blip on downshifts? Any other signs they are on the way out?

Thanks

Mitch will be able to scan any codes and diagnose but slow to act ITBs could cause the rev match to be degaraded

Is it possible to read the tba response times ? To know if they are lagging or not? I am getting a couple of strange moments as well.

Damn that must be annoying. Best part of ownership of a dct m3 is that blip from 3rd to second.

It's a smart idea to change both at the same time. Might as well. The other one will be on its way out soon.
