Well, this turns out to be very interesting between Kobe and Artest. Remember the playoff where Kobe gave Artest an elbow wonder how they will settle that matter now that they are teamates. Someone will bring it up next time they are together for interview.
RIP Rockets.

I focking hate Artest! but he is kinda a better player than Ariza so I hope it goes good for us. He better not have a damn Lakers logo in his hair though...

Hedo Turkoglu, the self proclaimed Michael Jordan of Turkey, is signing with the Trail Blazers ... wild. Wouldn't think he'd leave the up and coming Orlando.
Wonder if he lost faith in Dwight and their 3ball team or was it just the money. ________ GT40 ________ Mazda 787B Last edited by stimpy; 02-18-2011 at 05:19 AM.. |

his shot decision is very poor and a ball hog, so was kobe when he was starting off. artest is one of the "uncoachables" in the NBA but under phil jackson and time he'll be good for the lakers, i believe

He had to go for because of Vince Carter. Orlando does not have the money that Hedo was looking for. Also, Vince took his spot as a SF anyways. If Orlando didn't get Vince, I think Turk would've stayed.

The Blazers are believed to be dangling a 5-year, $50 million deal to lure Hedo Turkoglu to the Pacific Northwest. Turkoglu was given the red carpet treatment by the Blazers on Thursday. "They are pretty interested, and I'm happy about it, because as a player, that's what you want, interest from teams, especially good teams," Turkoglu said. "They have been a good team the last couple of years. So to get an invitation from them makes you feel special." The Raptors are the other team competing for Turkoglu and could offer him more money, but are a team on the rebound. Turkoglu's wife is said to have an affinity for the city of Toronto. http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wir..._to_portland/# |

From a friend of mine
"...I'll tell you what'll happen....it'll be the lakers vs whomever in the finals....last 5seconds....kobe will come up for a shot.....Artest COMES OUT AND KNOCKS OUT KOBE saying, 'Don't you know who I am?? I'm Ron Artest B!tch!'...ripping up his lakers jersey showing the rockets jersey he was wearing underneath...lakers lose because of Artest's actions..." I lol'd |

I'm happy Turk is going to Toronto. The Blazer's would be pretty damn good with him.
The Matrix will be available now from Toronoto, so they may go after him.

They should have kept Ariza. He was very valuable to the team. Artest went to jail for 10 days for domestic abuse; came to practice in a bathrobe saying he needed a month off to promote his CD; and said they he wished to retire 3 or 4 years ago after he wins his first championship with the Pacers.
Dr. Buss should have learned from the Rodamn fiasco. The Lakers have some classy players like Fisher and Gasol. Artest is insane--I hope it works out. |

Artest was fine last year with the Rockets. I think his crazy antics are the past. I think he really changed and just wants to win now. Sure he will still get a few T's here and there but that's just how he is on the court. I think Kobe got more T's then him the last couple of years. |

I know he's had his share of issues in the past, but he has history with Kobe and Phill managed Rodman.
Here's a guy who actually took less money in order to win... and he still gets crap.

Basically what I'm saying is the Lakers won it all last year, and added better defense and more physicality in Artest, their 2 biggest weaknesses. I think they're on their way to repeating the 3-peat

I'm not a fan of Boston sports, but washed up? Just because they lost to the Eastern champions Orlando?... WITHOUT Garnett. Come on now. They are a better team than they were when they won the championship with Rasheed now... if only Garnett can stay healthy. Rajon Rondo is only going to get better, Paul Pierce is still one of the best players in the league, Ray Allen is still a clutch shooter. Their only problem would be getting the same support from the bench players.
Rasheed doesn't get the credit he deserves because he's a team player. He plays great defense and gives any team trouble with his post presence and ability to drain threes. He's one of my favorite players and now he's joining one of my least liked teams. The Eastern conference is going to be better so don't count any of them out just because the Lakers got Artest. Don't get me wrong, they are a better team, but so are many of the other top teams. I don't think Artest can do what Ariza did for the Lakers with his energy. Ariza made key steals and threes in the playoffs that I don't think Artest can match but Artest brings better overall defense which will take some heat off Kobe as well. I guess we can only see what happens. It'll be an exciting season. With that said, get healthy soon Yao and GO WIZARDS! |
