Dallas BMW drivers: best day to have a good meet and photoshoot?
in an effort to try and organize something with advance notice and with more than a few people, which day of the week is best for everyone? i figured a poll would be a nice statistical way of deciding on a day that suits most people. i'll give it a couple days then we can plan something in a week or two.
also, suggest some good spots to take pictures around dallas. we shot in las colinas today and it provided a few nice backdrops. |

I'm good any night other than Thursday night as long as I have enough notice. Lunch times I'm only available on the weekend as I think most are.
Las Colinas was good for the amount of cars we had. But i think if we had many more than 3 we would get tight on parking space fast. Some of those nooks we took pictures in weren't much bigger than 3 car's worth. I'll try and think up some nice places to go. I think Thomas' friend Alex mentioned something about a parking garage? I don't know if its too late or not, but you might want to make the poll results visible so we know who can make what times.

If Addy is ok with saturday night, then it looks like that is the best time. As long as everyone is willing to give up a saturday night. Or a part of it.
We still need some day time meets as well though. Sometimes getting that sun on the cars is just too nice.

I'm down for Saturday. Now that the day is decided, any suggestions where to meet for both daytime & night time? If u guys/gals want to go to a parking garage then I know of one in West Plano that never gives me a hardtime when I take pics there. I don't think it'll be a problem as long as we don't have more than 10+ cars & childish antics (drifting, excessive revving, loud/obnoxious people, etc.).

i don't know if we would be able to or not, but if we could somehow to get permission to shoot at night on top of the parking garage at american airlines center, the skyline lit up behind it provides an excellent backdrop.

So here is a good question for ya...
When is the best day from your past experience to go in and haggle a good deal for a car? aka, When are they the most hungry to sell a car? Day of the week, days of the month, etc. Whatever you can think of for BMW in specific of course.

a tuesday or Wednesday when the weather is shitty and no ones out. If your the only customer in the dealership then thats great for you also if they have the car on their lot thats even better

I have family in Dallas, so I'd be willing to drive up from Houston for a weekend Dallas meet after my car is delivered in early October. Saturday afternoon or evening would work best for me.

Oh, I've had the itch for quite some time now.
Its just finally about the right time to talk $$$$ with a dealership. See if I can get a good deal on a '09 before new years hits. Your car is insane though. 8k rpm =

Damn Addy you seem to have the connections. Know anyone at a Nissan dealership? I am getting my girl a new Nissan Murano for Christmas.
