Useful Thread

Your car looks great. Nice set-up. I have been looking for these wheels for a set of p40 for my car, and the information you provided is very useful. BTW, is that the OEM carbon fiber trunk spoiler?

Great thread.

ADDED 5mm spacers all around = slight rubbing on sharp low speed turns.

DAFT: when you added the 5mm spacers, where do you rub? in the front or rear?

Don't be surprised. It has little to do with the diameter of the wheels. Rubbing is due to the overall diameter of the tires, width, and offset. The car doesn't know whether you have 18's, 19's or 20's. 18's will rub with the aggressive offsets and tire widths/diameters that some of us are running.

Yup it's the BMW cf performance spoiler.

Just in the front. I'm surprised that just a tiny half cm can cause rubbing issues. I may remove the front spacers if it starts to bug me lots.

Great thread. With some very interesting positive rubbing results. I would consider mine also quite surprising.

Car: 2011.5 E90

Wheels w/ Offsets: OEM 220

Spacers: MS (F) 15mm; (R) 12mm

Tires / Miles: Pirelli P Zero OEM sizes 265/35/19 245/35/19, brand new

Suspension: Dinan Stage 1

EDC Setting: all

Alignment: Dinan stage 1 specs

Fender Modifications: (F) None (R) None

Rubbing?: (F) No. (R) Yes, both sides, outside corner of tires rubbing the plastic nub on the wheel well liner mostly on bigger bumps at speeds over 40mph. Also over larger rounded speed bumps (not the small pointy ones). I have smoothed down the plastic significantly via my rubbing, and have also used a Dremel to smooth it further. I'm still rubbing, albeit not as much as immediately after the simultaneous suspension and spacer install.

great thread

So from my understanding, 295/30/19 AD08 in the rear will rub 100%, even if one max's out the rear camber

No one here has run a 265/30/19 AD08 in the front? From my understanding it shouldn't rub... (even if your fron camber is only -1.1, with pins intact)

Fender Modifications: (F) None (R) None

Rubbing?: Front: 100%, on full lock, on half lock, over a pump... cracked my fender liner
Rear: yes, over a bump at 30mph, a dip at 30mph.
Unless going perfectly straight, it rubbed on my e93.
Strange as these cleared the E90M3 that I got it from (and they tracked too..)

Just got my tires changed this past weekend so adding my details. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to switch out my spacers b/c of the rubbing in the rear. May just switch the front to 12mm and get 5mm's for the rear.

I think I'm gonna sticky this. So many people post 'will I rub?' threads, this might help us build up a database.
