The blown car is starting a gear down, given that it did about as I would expect. Not bad.

The centri adds mostly top end power. A positive displacement blower would be more impressive when starting a gear down.

If they started top of third, both cars in third and both cars able to hook, the blown car would easily pull away.

I think a re-run with my car with no passengers and my new tune, against his car with no passengers with his new tires will be better......I'll mount the gopro and get good shots too

haha it's cool....once you go catless I'm completely fucked..you'll EASILY pick up 20-30rwhp with a good xpipe.....IMG maybe u or someone with an ESS blower can chime in, when you go catless do you have to send out to get the ecu reflected by ESS again? Or does the car adapt itself? I'd assume it would run a little rich with no reflash..

You need a catless tune !
And I Personally never ever run from 1st nor 2nd I always start in 3rd at 5k rpm even then I get wheel spin , also get a little wheel spIn going into 4th & all this is on 295 rears .
These car wake up above 110 to 200 mph shit gets hairy !! Dct has so much advantage from 1st - 4th kinda wish I got a dct ....

With catless you will bennefit more on torque curve than HP but you go gain 20 to 25whp

You guys need some new tires, I run RE11's, from 2nd gear 30MPH, and for the most part no wheelspin and I put down 586WHP at 7.2psi, no photoshopping on the graph either!

Nice job man, I know some are disappointed, but I'm not surprised when my car was NA it trapped 115-118. Many of you have seen the vids, it ran with many cars that made more power, including modded E60 M5's, only 1 6MT E9X out the 4 I ran was close, the others 3+ CLth's or more by 120. My buddies stock C63 pulled at least that as well, when he added a tune to his C63, it was pretty even, a P31 pulled good though. I ran very close to my buddies Supercharged Stage 2, 9psi, AA E46 M3 as well. DCT is the real deal, Spdu4ea posted some good data on why in another thread.

I was gonna say whats up with everyone and tires spinning, if you know how to lay into the throttle and dont just floor your car you should be fine in 2nd gear as long as you have decent tires.

Drew, said it best

Looking into power mods. I'm DCT, but I don't want to know that a VT1 535 is only marginally faster than a modded M3.

To me it doesn't matter what my 110-150 times are...

FWIW a DCT 535 kit ran an 11.2@125-126 around here...the 535 isnt marginally faster its significantly faster if you compare the same transmissions. I ran a bolt on 6speed and pulled very hard on him.

Oh I see. I guess I didn't realize DCT makes that big of a diff. So a 535 DCT with good tires should pull hard (5-6 CL) on a FBO DCT.

Yes, should pull very hard. Put it this way, 1SICKM with his 535 DCT trapped a best of 125-126 at atco, and I trapped a best of 116 at atco FBO+tune DCT

In regards to DCT being a huge differece, some people swear that with a competent 6MT driver there is really no advantage to having a DCT - but from my experiences I strongly beg to differ and believe there is a HUGE difference.

Wow...

God bless DCT. I have the following mods akra slip/Dinan X pipe/Ess 93 Octane catless tune/AA air filter... and have also stayed with and pulled on cars I didn't think I would.

I think with a tune you would have perhaps pulled on him actually.
