Yes and no. I believe they said they don't care how they get it back as long as they get it back. They do test if its the correct oil or not somehow.

Just bought an engine oil change kit and returned the old one. FCP Euro refunded the amount in a couple of days. Props to them.

Did my first Lifetime Replacement w/ FCP Euro. Got credit within a few days of old parts delivered back to them. Unreal. And the customer service is top notch!

Shipping back oil just seems tacky and classless to me. I know what it says on their website. But I feel like it's ridiculous to ship back oil. You're making the business lose at lot of money.

I suspect the increase in customer loyalty offsets the relative loss. Most of their prices are also slightly higher than you can find elsewhere so they are baking in the warranty cost. This is literally the main way in which they are able to differentiate themselves from the dozens of other OEM part websites. If you're more concerned about saving their business money than saving your own money then more power to you, but I wouldn't go to the extent of calling everyone who takes advantage of this business model "tacky and classless."

Oh wow. I'm shipping from WI and have a small (10%?) discount with UPS through work. I'd definitely go the flat rate box route too if I saw a $60 shipping quote.

Can anyone shine a light on scribbles on the FCP website?... apparently he's missing? The lifetime replacement policy is crazy, it's not even like you guys are abusing the spirit of it. It's in their mission statement.
