45k! Most of us are way beyond that. I'm at 59k now and think I should be starting to take more notice of these rod bearing posts.

Preventative maintenance might have to take precedence over other plans for the M

No sorry I didn't. I'm working toward supercharging and I was told doing the bearings is required for that, so I figured I might as well do the bearings right away. I'm not sure how serious the visible copper is on the bearings but I've seen worse on the forums. Judging from what the mechanic said it's lucky I didnt leave it longer

Probably 1-2 track days per year but in the slower groups, still it gets pushed but that is what it is designed for!

Day one of conrod bearing changeout completed. All looks fine with the exception of a small leak from steering rack on passengers side. New bearings and bolts to go in today and more photos of old bearings will be posted once complete.

How'd your engine mounts look? Found both of mine were shot when the bearings were done.
