MPG with "Drivelogic 5 and/or "Power" button on
Can anyone confirm if there is a negative affect on MPG when using drivelogic in the "5" position vs. the "1" position? Also, does it affect MPG in conjunction with the "Power button" on and does the "Power" button" in and of itself negatively affect the MPG?
Thanks |

There is likely to be an indirect effect, since using those modes typically results in more aggressive driving. However, I would be surprised if there were any significant difference in fuel consumption between driving like grandma in D5/S5 and Sport modes vs. Driving like grandma in D1/S1 and Normal modes. Similarly, if you keep the car at 7000RPM+ for two hours, you're going to get like 6 MPG even if you are in the tamest of settings.
What I would suggest is to try out different settings and see what results you get. |

When I first bought the car I was driving moderatly on D3 then in several weeks upgraded to D4 then again D5..I noticed a "noticable" decline in MPG with the changes however I'm not sure if I was getting more used to the car and pushing a little..then last 6 months I am driving on S3-5 with a marked decline in MPG. I have posted not too long ago my MPG graphs for the whole year

It would make sense that S4+ would have a lower mileage given the throttle blips on downshifting and the extra fuel consumed to do that. My motto has always been that gas mileage is irrelevant for this car... if you want high mileage there is always the Prius option

Thanks for the feedback. Two questions:
1 - Is it expected that the MPG would increase even slightly once the engine gets "broken in"? 2- Is the MPG readout on the dash considered "accurate"? Thanks |
