For all that feel comfortable with a wrench in hand...
I put out an amateurish video with procedures on performing the DCT fluid change. Enjoy... |

Good video! I'm planning on doing this later this year and seeing it done is extremely helpful in eliminating surprises/sticking points. I have a couple of questions for you, if you don't mind.
1) When refilling and using ITSA, I'm assuming you shut the car off and then completed the fill. Is that right? 2) Where did you buy the ITSA software and cable? Thanks! |

Did I say Direct Clutch Transmisson....
I obviously meant Dual Clutch Transmisson...get confusing in the brain sometimes...going from German to English and back again. Germans actually call it a DKG "Doppel Kupplungs Getriebe"... Good Catch! |

You actually start filling (about 5 liters) with the car off initially. Once fluid comes out of the fill hole, you connect ISTA+ perform the "DKG oil balancing". For this you have to start the car. ISTA+ will guide you thru 1 minute of taking the rpms to 2000rpm, then ISTA+ will put the car ready for you to continue filling (with the car still running! IMPORTANT). You definately have to make sure you have your filling tools ready so that you don't let the trans temp go over 40C. If that happens (takes 10+ minutes to get over 40C...so you don't have to panic You'll have to start over if you get over 40c, then start over when cooled down. As far as ISTA and the cable...I think I found mine on Ebay (it's been a while) If someone else has a different source they can maybe chime in. |

Looks like it's a "Mojo Power" pan:
