Couple of things:

1) Been a while since I've been up there, but Palisades can be miserable with potholes until May.

2) Lots of seasonal road closures (though it's been a warm winter, they still close a lot of the roads within the park).

Pot holes aren't bad. Was at woodbury couple of weeks ago and it was fine driving on pal pkwy.

Base of the mountain always open, as well as the observatory.
