Yeah, too much credit. He had no idea what you just said I think.

I think this kid is dumb and really doesnt know how to drive. However, at around 0:11 he upshifted. Is the car manual or SMG? I can't tell. If it's a manual, I will at least say he knows how to move the stick, which is pretty impressive these days. Maybe.

I don't think he saw the turn over the crest, but it also looks like he went completely blank for a second. It seems like he barely attempted to turn or brake.

This could have been far worse.

First, call it dumb luck that he went off the road where he did. If you look at the steering wheel angle, he is luck he lost grip and went straight off the road and had some large boulders slow him down rather than a 1000lb saguaro cactus fall on top of the car.

Second if he had gone off mid turn, the car would have more likely gone sideways, probably ending in a roll over situation. Maybe lose an arm or serious head injury.

Lastly, the circled area highlighting the WALL of boulders, would have been in the path if he didn't go straight off. The sudden deceleration would have been ugly.
Wow! Well done

I got my E46 M3 when I was 18. I bought it myself and had to work my ass off to pay for it so I never wanted to risk anything on the street. I bought it because it was favorite car of all time and it was an insane pussy magnet at 18. I kept all the craziness on the track

Such a shame. Used to be a nice car.

Kind of weird watching the kid crash with his windows down... Makes me wonder what would happen that happened while my top was down...

While this kid deserves all the headlines he's been making on every main car news website on net, I just never understood why you'd even save that video, yet alone upload it!

I secretly wish he landed on a cactus. That would have been awesome

Video was totally worth destroying that car for.

Glad the occupants were ok, but super glad they videoed it.
