Thanks for this. It's starting to get really foggy up north, this will definitely be great to have.

What a great mod and DIY ! The whole procedure took only 15 minutes, and now I have fully functional rear fog lights. Thanks so much for the detailed instructions, which made the process smooth and simple.

Got bored and decided to work on this. Nice and easy. Well, the fog light is not bright at all though.

Does not work on 08 e92 and 08 e90. We're missing the white button extensions so they can't actually activate the fog lights. Just a warning for all you other 08ers out there.

Yup, cars older then 2010 does not have that plastic piece and will require the "LEGO" method or something creative such as using a trimmed pen cap which my friend was able to implement successfully. Of course you can always buy the entire switch itself.

Weird, for some odd reason my 2010 E92 M3 doesn't seem to want to do it. I have tried several methods with no success. Both buttons are getting pushed simultaneously but no lights. Is there a fuse or something else that might not be there causing it to not work? Anyone else had this issue?

I rode behind some douche in a 335i with this mod, at night. Blinded the shit out of me.

Found it... Fuse was missing from mine... Anyone know what the amperage of the fuse on theirs is? I'm guessing a 7.5 would most likely do the trick.

Since we don't have front fogs, what is the front fog switch wired too? Is there a wire harness just hanging somewhere. I'd like to use the switch to power a Laser Interceptor system.

I found out that it does turn the front headlights on just as if you had fog lights, or like my e46 fogs did... So it does go somewhere

What do you mean by it turns on the front headlights? So both the main switch and the front fog switch turn o.n the headlights?

Yeah on the non M models when you turn the front fog lamps the headlights turn on as well. So when that button is activated, the headlamps activate as well.

I wonder if Euro spec cars have a button that can be replaced with a symbol/LED that can light up (on the button). Anyone from Europe please chime in.

Did you have any success using this switch to power your laser interceptor? Worst case I will use this switch and a specialized relay to convert it into an on/off switch.
