Serious sound distortion

EDIT: I noticed that I'm also getting static even when the car is off ( as well as when I play music through AUX on my iphone, specifically from the door tweeter speakers). Does this mean my amp is blown? I checked for water in the amp bay in the trunk and found none but my car does have 100K miles and is 10 years old. Do people recommend buying a new amp or getting their current one repaired? Thanks.

Likely amp damaged. Some places do repairs and I would go that route cos even used unit from ebay are not cheap.

The amp sits in a small compartment and is prone to heat damage. There's even a TSB on it.
