7th trackday with this setup...this time at Autoclub Speedway in Southern California last Saturday. High speed, hard late braking track. Performed great as per usual!

Could I please get a definitive answer on whether or not the new version pads actually cover 100% of the brake disk? If the previous issues have been resolved, I might reconsider this.

new version pads actually cover 99%. All of our customers are using this ver 2 upgrade.

but for the issues and cover of the disc some users would have to comment to have it as independent opinion

Only the rear needs adjustment for pads, right? The front slips on without mods? What about the brake sensors?

Thanks albert. I might give these a try as well. Those 8 pots look gorgeous.

It would also be awesome if you can do a DIY on replacing the pads, so people know what to expect with this kit...to avoid people like me asking probably obvious questions by this point

Btw would anyone recommend getting new rotors with the kit, or work with the ones already on the car if they're still good?

He keeps it vague so they can continue to charge a lot of money while they experiment with mix-matching parts on their customers.

Oh I hear you on that. That's why I waited after its initial release to get feedback, improvements, and most importantly, time. I feel if it can survive multiple track sessions, then it will be fine for someone like me who unashamedly baby the car.

it is a nominal upgrade for $1,800 usd for calipers, pads, and ss lines. for not that much more money, one could get a better fitting kit with rotors.

Take it from me, someone who has actual experience with plenty of track time on these brakes...they are fine and you'll be just as happy as I am. I've done 8 trackdays with these brakes. Most of which are tracks that are either technical, high speed, hard braking, or a combination of any of those. Matched with the right pads, they performed great everytime.

Changing the front pads is straight forward: knock the pins out, push the pistons back a bit, pull the pads out, slide the new pads in, put the pins back in with the pad retaining clips and you're done. Literally 5-10mins of your time per side. The rears are pretty much the same process but you'll need to modify the pads sightly where the pins go through to make them fit properly. Maybe an additional 30mins taking your sweet ass time. Wish I had time to make a DIY for everyone, but I don't currently. Hopefully, that will change in the near future.

Since you're the occasional track goer, I wouldn't worry one bit. Buy with confidence!

Here's a pic from yesterday's trackday.

Exactly....

Not sure why people hate on this kit without having experience with it. It is far more than you need for the street and as you(and I) have shown, it handles track use well. A "real" bbk runs about 1/6 the price of this car and doesn't make sense for many people.
By far the best brake upgrade for the hard street/occasional track driver.

Replacing pads on a brembo caliper is probably the most straight foward diy. If you do some searching through this thread you can find how to trim rear pad when you need new ones.
