is there a way to visually see the evaporator and see if its leaking???

You would need to rip the entire dash out. The way my AC guy confirmed is he added the PAG oil into the system and ran the AC. He said he could smell it leaking out from behind the dash.

How prevalent is the HVAC evaporator failure? It appears over a 1/3 who voted on the poll experienced this repair. is this accurate?

The thought of paying $3k and more importantly the removal of the dash is worrisome. I hate dash creaks and nothing good can come from your dash being removed.

Hey guys, my evaporator is done. Has anyone ever gotten a class action lawsuit going for these defective engineering designs?

Additionally, does anyone know if the OEM parts have been fixed? I have no clue which manufacturer to use for my 08
