Agree. Also plug change if not already @ 30K.

M3 would feel like a whole new car.

I have an 08, and got this done with plugs within 6-months. The car got slightly better mpgs (not surprisingly, someone who has access the the DME data says 240E modified the AFR), but most importantly, the car is much much smoother at low-rpm, slow speeds. I have a 6MT, so the smooth throttle response isn't related to DCT update.

So that said, $95 just to even do the 240E is worth it, and will be totally worth it if you get all other feature coding done with this buffet offer. (unless I misinterpreted that module updates are a different price?)

(sorry, I know it's a link from a competitor, but nevertheless, discusses differences in 240E updates)

There is virtually no difference in 240E files by region.

However, US cars should only use US files as they will lose DTML (tank leakage) which other regions do not have. If a different file then that was loaded onto to DME is loaded (ie: Japan file on US spec car), this opens the possibility of creating other issues that can be expensive to fix.

yep, agreed, sorry, didn't mean to confuse people that they should get jspec 240E. The thread had discussion on what BMW changed in 240E from older software.

I'm ten minutes away, I'll stop by soon. I'm also interested in some angel eye upgrades and have some questions about those. Thanks!

Tom or Robert - are you still running this special and do you have any openings early next week? Interested in 240e update and maybe some coding.
