I own a 911 Gt rs and love it, but my wife not so much.

I love porshe and have owned them for years, but my wife wants a me to sell the 911 gt rs for a new m3. I've owned a m3 and an m5 up until I sold the m5 and crashed the m3. I don't want to sell the porshe, but I might have to. Any suggestion.

Tell her you need to wait for the next M5, the M3 is discontinued and the best you can do is a 2011 cayenne turbo or panamera turbo.

You may want to explain to her that men are more brand loyal then anything else, part of why you are such a good husband is commitment, don't cheat on the RS

I'd wait for the new M5 and swap for that.

When I had my GT3 my wife hated being seen in it after a while and always preferred the M3 too.

you can get some really nice cars for $50k !!! get a used (1 y.o) Range ROver, X6, 5er, i dont know, i'm not all that familiar with used prices, but heck, given the depreciation hit every car takes these days, you can get her something sweet for that budget !!!
or Option #2, ditch the wife

or you can do what i do: "i know this car costs me too much, i know it's impractical, i know you'd rather have a SUV, but i'd lose my shirt if i sold it today... resale value sucks... do you REALLY want me to lose this much money on it???"

Being from Manhasset, just say that you have to blend in with the rest of the cars in the area. A Porsche is like a Ford over there. And just get another car to keep her happy. For $50K, you have a lot of possibilities. I would say some kind of SUV (RR sport, BMW X5, Lexus GX etc).
