Tow truck dropped my car!!

Hey everyone, I’ve had a rough past couple days. Unfortunately the tow truck driver dropped the car on the flat bed. Right on the transmission and exhaust. I noticed the transmission leaking. The exhaust is very dented. I’m having Bmw take a look at it. Is there anything I should have them look at specifically?

Unlucky man… there will be much better days! I would want new engine & tranmission mounts. All those transmission lines along with dct pan should be replaced if there’s that much fluid. Check for any wiring that could’ve been exposed to excessive weight/pulling as well. And obviously it better shift better than it did before. Hopefully not engine oil 🙏

trans pan is broken, case could be cracked also. it looks like the cats are dented which means they are likely broken inside.

For OEM parts (which is what you want/what might only be available) it’s gonna be at least 10k, most likely more

Depends how the insurance company wants to proceed.

Reman bmw catalytic converters are $10,000+ according to the link below.

Unless you source a forum members x pipe with cats and source the other parts yourself, then the car will definitely be totaled. And this doesn’t include the labor involved and other miscellaneous things they will find…

Yup, then buy it back, find a used X-Pipe for $500, a new DCT oil pan service kit for another $500 and you'll be golden!
