An ideal ride for it, if there ever was one.

So you say you want to go wheel to wheel racing? Well this was just from practice that set qualifying groups. I heard something snap coming out of the last right corner (others saw tire smoke before that) but I needed the lap time so kept my foot in it. It was a wild ride 😃😜. AR Motorsports went back to their shop and pulled control arms off a friend's car. I got in the car while on jack stands and while they were finishing up. Went out and qualified first in class and sixth overall. Qualifying ahead of me is a R8 LMS GT3, Bentley GT3, Superlite, and a couple Trans Am cars. And right behind me is some stiff competition 😃. It will be a fun race today!

Just got all my Do88 cooling installed on my car (except I went with a CSF Radiator) - you'll love it... yesterday at Thunderhill I was able to run >20min pretty hard without issue in 90* temps.

Late (too late) braking on a downhill section of the track earned me a tire wall visit. Most of it will buff out but I'll need a new lip. I was able to drive home. No physical injury.

What's a good color for a track + DD car that might get occasional tire swipe marks? Dark matte grey? Is there such a thing as "track car paint" that can be re-applied at home with presentable (not concourse level, but OK for a consulting client visit) or does a wrap make more sense?

Next event in 6 days.

Oooof glad it wasn't too bad and you're safe! TBH it actually seems like a situation where the phrase "it'll buff out" is fitting 😃

Check those control arms and alignment, not sure on best paint color but maybe go vinyl?

I didn't think of that! That will likely do the job. Now who wants to be caught riding in a Line-X M3?

Ha! I had a great jump at the start then slipped inside the Bentley GT3 and GT1 car into the first corner. Was up to third overall by lap two. (first in class the entire race). Had good pace up until someone oiled down the track and the entire front of my car which brought out a long caution and tons of kitty litter. After the caution the car just didn't have the pace. On the last lap an Old nascar that was a lap down blocked me from turn 1-7. The McLaren made up 2-3 seconds and was right on my bumper. That is how we finished.

But yes AR Motorsports prepared the car, pulled control arms off another car at the shop and installed on my car. A huge thank you to AR Motorsports Eddie, Martin, Josh, John, Jon plus four others! I just drove the car 😏

Tom won overall in the R8 LMS GT3 and Kyle won RC3 in the spec46. All team AR Motorsports.

Oh. The 10K was spread across all three classes RC1, RC2, RC3 = GT1, GT2, GT3. The 61st Rose Cup is part of the Portland Rose Festival. Tom in the R8 won 1K for pole position and another 4K for the overall win. I think my smaller check is in the mail 😉
