Bimmerworld can source the rings too. Apparently, they are the same as the ones from the M235/240iR. Don't know if the price is any better though

Crosspost from F80 side but I want your opinions as well:
Here is the new VS-5RS et40 @ -3.5 camber with 20mm spacer. I spun the wheel around a few times and didn't notice rubbing. Is this acceptable? Not much room on the 94mm stud if I was to add another 5mm to the spacer. 6" spring with MCS suspension. The car also sits way high. What should I have done to correct this? That's... very high. What size tire is that? Regardless it's high, but maybe that's a super small diameter tire like a 285/30R18? |

You're correct. That's exactly the tire size.
So you say clearance is fine? Great. I'll likely swap to 5" springs in the future after some post purchase research, but for now I'd like to run this. What could be done about that gap, if anything, or is it entirely tire related? |

I would be comfortable running that clearance (since I have for ~40 track days). Others may feel differently, but I've experienced no problems myself.
Tire size certainly does play a role. Those are ~1.3" smaller then OEM size for reference. But, it almost seems like the struts are too long for adequate lowering. You don't have much adjustment left to go much lower, and it's still so high (at least visually). What's your center of wheel to fender measurement with where it's at now? |

Thanks to you both. I'd run the 25mm but my studs won't allow it on the 94mm stud. I tried adding another 5mm spacer to the 20mm on in the photos and the entire nut did not fit the stud.
Other issue is sourcing 25mm spacers... |

H&R is an easy source, otherwise there are a couple lightweight versions.

As far as height, I ran a 5" front spring with a helper and could get the front end very low with MCS 3WR. This should also give you more clearance to the tire. |

@MaX PL I have run similar spacing in the past, I think I even have some similar photos up on the f8x slicks thread, I would keep in mind that the tire is going to move and squish some when under load. Not saying you should/shouldn't run like that but I'd try to at least eyeball it for rubbing after a hot lap or two at each track.

also, not sure on what length of spring you went with, since that depends on your rate also. so hard to say how to adjust your height.

Anyone owned an isf? Was looking for a F8x to replace my daily but I remember loving the idea of the isf, seem like a good daily that shouldn't tank much in value. Also considered the rs5 and c63, but rs5 support is spotty and the c63 hasn't aged well

Having driven the Lexus product line, the isf is a great choice. But don’t look past the new is500, it’s a great car too. I guess it depends if the car is daily only or if you ever want to track it? If you want to do track stuff on occasion rcf has the bigger brakes which matter on these heavier cars. If you want to buy one, just go do one of the Lexus performance driving events and try them all out
