picked up some race ramps the other day... figured i'd recoup the cost after a few DIY oil changes with the ecs kit.... plus i need to swap my vorsteiner exhaust back on so it doesn't sound like i'm driving a prius.
ferodu DSUNO track pads are in the mail as well as a set of DS2500's for the street. also bought a brake piston spreader after watchin alex's quick handywork at laguna seca a little while ago.
i'm hoping to make it to big willow with speed district on 04/10.

Gonna get some pfc 08 from a friend and try them out. Still have carbotech xp10 on the rear so hope braking bias don't feel weird.

i really enjoy willow springs... i want to go to buttonwillow, but there aren't many days on the books for big willow, and i don't want to go with any coordinators other than speeddistrict (to big willow).

i'll make it out one of these days... i'll likely be at the next even speedventures hosts at auto club.

i'm not sure if i want to go to autoclub when they are doing bimmerfest there though. i'm not sure if this would prompt a bunch of new people to register for the track to drive like idiots.

Yeah, I checked my tires an hour before it popped and I did have tread left, no wires showing, but I guess it wore out sooner then I expected.

District isn't that organized though I feel. No passing flags because people aren't watching no black flags for going four off. No black flags for constantly spinning out.

Speed ventures is very well organized and safe. Although car count might be high, car count per run group felt lower vs when I went to the district event. The district event also had some slow ass cars in advanced. I don't care about being slow but I could clearly tell from driving behind them that they were not advanced drivers at all.

I see how seat time attracts people but I'd rather have fewer quantity for more quality.

I registered for the ACS Bimmerfest weekend as well, since there's another Bimmer Challenge event. Rented a garage this time as well, lol. I figured best to secure a spot early since it'll be crowded. My fear of idiocy is lessened in the advanced groups.

Speed Ventures doesn't have Fabio the track marshal at Big Willow, do they? lol. That guy is the best.

PFC08 with BBK? I had PFC08 with stock brakes and they were beast. I was far more a nubly driver back then though. Rotor wore out before pad did though, hahaha.

i have never had anything really negative happen at a district event. there was one time where a group of friends in exotics brought their cars. there were a few offs, no track etiquette, and flags were ignored. they had their own special remedial instruction.
maybe they have since revamped the way they use their flags, but i've seen good flag communication in the past.

i can't remember who was hosting it, but i was at the streets of willow with sd and another coordinator was at big willow. we had the entire track between about 15 cars. big willow was a conga line all day...

i'm not opposed to going with speed ventures, but i just have to find a day that fits into my schedule.

More like it! Was that a two turn setup just for drifting?

Yeah that was the baby course. Lets you focus on weight transfer with steering and pedal input without having to worry about shifting. The bigger course is 3rd gear entry but the S65 is a high rev motor, so I just keep in 2nd and try to link the corners.

Looks like this year will be like last. Going to keep the m3 (love it). Sold the 911 and got this bad boy only to realize after all the seat adjustments, still struggling to fit as a tall driver.

Original factory cup car with 477 miles. Only one with a title to register May need to part

http://www.daniyal-syed.com/lotusexige

Can't convince myself to part with the M3 yet. Now with some test pipes, tune, pulleys, it will be a hoot this year.
