I spoke to the kid and his father who own that lambo and he was telling me that his 12 year old son did a 1:50 that day. Honestly, I'm very hesitant to believe that. IIRC I saw the lambo in 2 different run groups (intermediate and beginner) and I think that the 12 year old was driving in the intermediate group and someone else in the advanced. If what the father said is true that is unbelievable and he is one lucky and extremely talented kid! Actually, regardless if he drove the 1:50 lap being 12 years old and driving a lamborghini race car makes him already a lucky kid haha.
That's kind of crazy - he might have the talent but I don't want to even think about the liability if something bad happens! :O

Maybe but I feel like I kept pretty good pace with him for that lap. Although he did eat dirt and flies away on the straights lol

redpriest, what gopro mount are you using? my vids are always so shaky and i think its because i'm mounting it to the empty passenger seat. i'm going to try to mount it to my seat and see if it helps, but my mount might also suck...

Depends who is driving. Have seen the lambo challenge and ferrari challenge cars and in each group only few front runners looked like they were even trying. Personally on track with ferrari challenge cars.

There is a local family that has 3 or 4 Ferrari challenge cars. Literally wrecked car #3 and car #4 showed up the next day. WAY off pace.

I am hoping work allows me to do the HOD coaching clinic day then HPDE this next week. It will be at The Ridge Motorsports Park.
E92 M3 street car: I have a new Dinan front sway bar to try out. Hopefully it provides less understeer and good balance. In addition I just pulled the trigger on a new ST60 380mm front only BBK (after looking for used for the last 5 months). So now I will not have to worry about losing the brakes.....hopefully less flex in calipers will also provide a more stable platform for braking. It was more than a little sketchy at times!
E46 M3 race car with S62 swap: Most of the fab is complete. It was four times as expensive and took four times as long to finish than our worst case estimate. The details are more than I could every of dreamed.

PrimeBMW let me know which setting you stick with on the Dinan front sway bar - mine is at the middle setting and I haven't experimented at all with it, primarily because I didn't know any better yet. Would be interested on getting an informed opinion on it

I have mine on the middle setting also. Remember I'm on the MCS singles with stiffer spring so it will be different. We'll see soon enough.
Edit: And different tires.

redpriest: Next time you're at a familiar track, put the bar to full soft and run a session. Then put it to full stiff and run a session (carefully running to the limit in case the handling changes a lot with the change). See which is better/worse compared to the middle setting. Note *where* it is better or worse too as it could help on fast sweepers and hurt on tight turns or vice/versa. Try not to change anything else so you are only evaluating the bar.

Get your moneys worth out of the bar and adjust it to find what it does at each extreme so you can have a tool to help dial the car in as you go from track to track.

Good advice. I guess I have to figure out how to adjust it, myself. From reading the instructions, it seems pretty complicated, given that you have to adjust the endlink lengths as well. Will it throw out my alignment when I change the setting?

I don't think you will have to adjust the end link length much if at all. But getting up under the car might be a little difficult at the track.........report back

I think I will have AR Autoservice track side support do it for me

My instructor chased and crushed a F430 Challenge car on full slicks with a massive wing. The guy was fast but the E92 with bbk, suspension and tune + a really good driver did him in
