You may not get fuel level reading if the OEM cluster isn’t present.

Got a new M3 track car yall. Need to brush up on my driveway entry skills though. I was close even at stock monster truck height, and I never scraped in the M3.

Bartledoo Gorgeous! Do post more pics from time to time. You’re a lucky man. If I ever were to get another car, a C8 is very high up in my consideration set. Nice color choice too. What color is the interior? A length of 2X4 or similar should help the driveway ingress. Enjoy. 😃 I hear they're quite capable off-roading.

Interior is black because I’m a basic b. The off-roading does look fun, but I’m psyched to see how it tracks!

Nice pickup
What are your expectations/hopes compared to the E90?

More challenging to drive when setup properly (with the driver aids off of course. They are uncrashable otherwise lol)…More thrust…I think it will be faster and still comfy with just a few mods. The feels won’t be as good on track, coming from my M3 (and no high revving V8 beauty), but it will be a car I can drive to california in the winter for track days.

Buttonwillow tomorrow on new RS4’s. Will be kinda cold. I’ve not run these tires before. Suggestions on tire pressure to start (cold) and what to target hot?

Had a few extra hours near a Porsche dealership today and since they have a reputation for being so nice (and it was sooo slow), I drove a 992 S (best they had, used)

Not impressed. Typically great interior but a snooze of an engine. 3L TT just isn’t special anymore. Hasn’t been for years. Turbo lag was real.

Anyways I’m leaving and getting into my LSB E92 and some guy asks me how it was

“Honestly man, not worth it. Kinda boring”
“Yeah but have you ever DRIVEN a porsche?”
“Uh yes my dad has a 991.2 GT3 6MT so yes”
“but on a TRACK where it BELONGS?”
“No, but I’ve run enough of you guys off who refuse to yield to a ‘slower’ car”

Jeez I hate Porsche purists. I like to think I’m a polite track driver but if you’re holding me up for 1.5+ laps, I’m putting pressure ON

also drove a G83, not a fan of that either.

Some recent updates. Prepping the car for NASA GTS-3, comp school and my first race are in March.

Added some front splitter diffusers from Professional Awesome and built a rear diffuser. First time doing anything like this and it ended up being a lot of work. Had to make a lot of custom mounts but very happy with how it turned out.

Also started installing my fire suppression, new water bottle for my drink system, digital rear view mirror and redid my switch panel

Any reason you went with the ABF over Novec? Looking at these systems myself for a new E46M build.

But the exhaust is setup to separate diffuser flow instead of accelerating it!!

Is there a reason you didn’t poke the exhaust tips above the diffuser instead of dumping it down and causing turbulence in the air flow the diffuser is supposed to smooth out?

cost, no other reason. Electric novec kit would of been almost double the price

lack of space and trying to keep things simple, this is all a DIY so just doing what I can with what I have.

Its not ideal to have the exhaust going through the diffuser but I have seen a ton of people do it on other race cars. It should still be way better than the giant void of a back bumper area I had before lol

Maybe it’s just the angle of the photo but it looks like you could have taken the exhaust tips and run them right over the top?

tubing to oval piping would've worked nicely there i agree!

nah its just the angle of the photos, I would of had to cut the bumper beam and more of the bumper to get the exhaust to clear and not melt the bumper.

Originally that was the plan and I had the pipe running straight out the back but it pushed the back of the diffuser down too far

Where did the Pcar owner touch you lol. I mean, most of those slow dudes hit the track once a year. I generally find the ultra slow ones to be driving crummy spec boxsters

right in the lap times, your honor.

They also insist on running intermediate / advanced run groups. Might depend on where you are but it’s def a thing here

It was more of the condescension that bothered me.
