Updating vehicle software

Across my fleet of cars, I’m admittedly bad at updating the iDrive, Uconnect, software, you-name-it-ware. I have a 2013 E92 and have not made an effort to update anything to this point.

Simple question is, should I be doing this or is there little to benefit from?

Since 2013 is the last model I don't think there are any significant updates to be done. Relevant engine ECU and DCT sw versions where released prior.

if you aren't experiencing any issues/problems i wouldnt bother with updating vehicle software.
