$65k+ choices x5 4.8 or e90 m3?

down to these two choices for my next family(occasionally fun) vehicle. no kids now but planning on having one soon, which one would you pick for $65k?

disclaimer: i've owned a 2002 e46 m3 and sold it prematurely before i got married years ago and still having soft spot for an m.

This thread is simply hilarious.

Dude, just pick whichever fits your needs best. Everyone in this forum will tell you to get the M3. And probably most people in the X5 forum will tell you to get the M3 too because they would be if they did not need the utility of the X5. But only you know what's best for you.

Now maybe you can tell me - should I click the link to the ordering forum next, or should I click the link to the pics forum next? I anxiously await a respone. While I wait though, I am going to eat a sandwich, unless someone thinks soup would be a better choice?

+1.

I've narrowed it down to two totally different cars. Which should I get?

Unless you need to tow a boat (or some other toy, like a track car) why would you buy an X5?

You have no kids but are looking for a "family vehicle" ??

Lemme guess. Your wife wants a new car, and you want an M3. LOL.

WHIPPED.

for those of who asked why an x5? i'd like to go with a 550i but the e60 life cycle is coming to an end and i don't want to pay $60k plus for an outgoing model, plus i'm currently leasing a 535i and want to get something else when the lease's up, therefore 5 series is out of question. with $65k my only choices of a bmw family(four door) cars are down to the x5 and the e90 m3.
