27CE Code Fix?
What's up everyone. First M3 and currently trying to fix her back up. Just recently coded out the TPMS and updated the DME. Now I'm throwing a 27CE code. I've been reading that it is likely to be the EKP module. Control Unit for the fuel pump. But I just wanted to share and see if anyone has ran into this issue. I have a 2011 E92 M3. Has anyone changed this part out? I did research and came down to this, but haven't found a DIY yet. Please let me know. If you have any experiences with this or recommendations to consider when correcting PLEASE let me know! Thank you everyone.

The photo you posted says to check for fuel system leaks, then check the fuel pressure sensor, then test the fuel pump, and perform a fuel pressure control system test. Are you saying you have done all of those things?

Fuel pressure sensor on the rail
The module was a common fix when this platform was new. The module had some revisions, that is why the module is so cheap in cost. |

I have not checked for leaks nor do I think it's a fuel pump failure because it's pushing too much pressure. I'm going to swap the fuel pressure sensor and see if that clears it up.

The whole point of having the factory service manual is so that you don't have to just start arbitrarily replacing parts.

I'm having same issues. 27CE. Replaced the sensor by the airbox. No change. Where is the one on the fuel rail?

So, I decided to clear the codes once more and it hasn't come back on. I've put about 100 miles since. It looks like you need to drive the car a bit before knowing if the replacement sensor is good or not. I had both 27CE and 2729.

Always replace the low pressure fuel sensor first. If that doesn't solve, continue troubleshooting.
