I'm not sure how well you know your friends, but I'd go insane at the thought of someone using my Ferrari, even if it was an equal investment. You wouldn't know how the other person drives it or takes care of it. Don't even get me started on how much shit-flipping would go down if that person crashes it or gets in some kind of accident.

I'd make sure there was a signed agreement between the lot of you dictating the length of time and miles allowed, as well as splitting the running costs which will undoubtedly be high if you're going for a used Ferrari.
+1 on all points. Don't do it.

Uhh...no way Jose' for myself anyway.

I would pay the premium of renting an F for a few sunny days and then go drop it back off and call it a "fix" "fixed".

Repeat as needed.

If rentals are available in you area that is.

No rentals here in my state. I did start to think about buying one then renting it out, or forming a club where everybody pays annually for limited use (days / mileage).

I would pay $5k annual to get 2 weeks access to a Ferrari. I dont need to "own" one outright, but want access to one from time to time.

Most places charge $1500 a day for a 355, let alone a 360 or something more current.

Knowing how my friends drive... No thanks. The engine will be constantly below 4,000 and the outer edges of the tires will never be worn evenly.

I really dont want to own one completely myself. I only drive my M3 8k miles per year. I would only put 1/2k miles on that car annual.

That is high rent.
I know it's here and not there but you can get a Scud for $1500 per day.

$25k each to own a Ferrari? Why not?

I know there are car clubs you can buy into, but they're very expensive. I dont mind being "hands on" with the ownership.

I know the downsides of this.

Anybody every gone in on a car with somebody else before????

Stories, ideas, etc?
Check with your local airport/flying club for the ideas. Fractional ownership is common in the private airplane world where things with wings cost much, much more to buy and maintain than a $70K Ferrari.

Not worth it for a 360 in my opinion, but then again it wouldn't be smart to do this with a 430 either.
