I dont like the bonnet it looks very home made, the wheels are good, the stance is very good, i doubt the production car will leave the showroom as low as this, but you never know

It is clearly the CSL version for several reasons; 1) we know the M3 will not have the CF roof since it's been designed to have a sunroof 2) it came fitted with the same wheels and Cup tyres as our current E46 CSL 3) you could clearly 'hear' the CF airbox as Andy P drove it onto the stage - I very much doubt that the M3 will have the airbox on its own in the E46 CSL was a $6000 component. I'm happy and just checked with my dealer to make sure I am still one of the first to get one. |

Curious, how does one "hear" the CF airbox. It's carbon fiber because it's light. It doesn't flow any better just because it's "carbon". |

I dont' see how anyone can say 100% that all these features are going away since they were on the previous CSL version. BMW mentioned nothing about it being the CSL version, so where is everyone getting this idea? Just not realistic. |

Considering this car appears to be laden with full climate controls and other luxuries, not to mention a manual gearbox, I doubt if this is a CSL model. Considering how fast the 335 is, maybe BMW decided to pull the stops on the base model to keep it in the spotlight? Who knows, just have to await the specs I suppose.

I guess my point is that it's not the CF that you are hearing; it's obviously, the free flowing airbox, which could be made of anything. It won't sound different because it's CF. |
